Netflix vs. Blockbuster Online

On average, we spend just over $2,000 a year on entertainment spending. Going out for fun gets expensive and movies are ridiculously expensive. You can get discount movie tickets at Costco but the cheapest way to watch a movie is waiting for its video release. Well, choosing between Netflix and Blockbuster online is like choosing between McDonald's and Wendy's. For the most part they have the same stuff but there are some differences for the average user that may sway you one way or another.

Both cost about the same for the different plans. Don't let that sway you because the other differences are what really matter. Blockbuster's big advantage is being able to exchange movies you receive in the mail for movies at the store. If you exchange a movie at the store, you can't thensend that one back by mail, but it means that you can watch what you want on a Friday night by just going by your local Blockbuster with the movies that have been mailed to you. Netflix has more independent movies and a bigger Blu-Ray selection. Netflix also has a feature where you can watch movies on demand on your computer for some of their movies and on your TV with an "instant device" like an Xbox, ROKU player and other ready devices. So, the choice is yours. If you like being able to go to the video store then Blockbuster should be your pick but otherwise Netflix seems to have better online features and more movies.
